As the proud owner of the George & Dragon pub, I've been privileged to witness countless stories unfold within its walls. But there's one narrative that holds a special place in my heart: the G&D as a haven for reunions of old Zimbabwean and South African friends and family.

Greetings, dear readers! We at the George and Dragon Chacombe are thrilled to announce that we will be celebrating the momentous occasion of the Coronation of King Charles III.

We have an exciting new gin collection at The G&D featuring some classics and unique small-batch bottles that will surely impress you.

Well, one thing is for sure, Chacombe village knows how to enjoy a party. We danced, we sang, we drank and most of all, we laughed!! The G&D is nothing short of home to us and we are overjoyed that so many of our friends in and around the village saw the new year with us. 

It feels like it was yesterday we moved into the village and embarked on this new adventure.

What a few months it has been. Meeting new friends, laughing, dancing and so much more. Our first Christmas at the George is set to be filled with fun and frolics!

How wonderful it was to see so much effort made in attendance and costume. We also realised there are a few locals who clearly have the XFACTOR and were all too happy to unleash their hidden vocal talent!!!

We'll be offering up seasonal delicious pies for you to choose from, all served with seasonal vegetables and classic mash.

On Sunday 4th September we launched the long-anticipated return of our Sunday lunch menu.

We were joined by many of our valued guests, and the feedback is that we didn’t disappoint. We aim to evolve the menu each week, introducing creative and fresh menu ideas to keep our guests wanting more.

We welcome your four-legged friends in all shapes and sizes in the bar area and on our patio. RSPCA-approved complimentary treats are available from our ‘Dog Supplies’ station along with individual water bowls and fresh water.

A little over six weeks ago, we took the tenancy of the George and Dragon, and what six weeks it has been! We instantly fell in love with this fantastic pub nestled in the idyllic village of Chacombe.
